Due to persistent snow and rain conditions in the western Chugach over the last 24hours and projected into the next 48 hours. Remedy Alpine is canceling the Veterans Day Climb of Mount POW/MIA and Gold Star Peak. The conditions may stabilize by Wednesday. However, the Remedy staff has determined that at mid-elevation conditions exist that will likely cause human triggered and spontaneous avalanches. This is based on avalanche conditions assessed in the Talkeetna and Western Chugach mountains.
